Goo Hara and Sulli’s Friendship
Goo Hara and Sulli were loyal friends, and they were also friends with SHINee‘s Jonghyun and IU. After Jonghyun died, Goo Hara and Sulli also tragically ended their lives. Sulli was found dead on October 14, 2019, in her apartment because of suicide. A month after Sulli’s death, Goo Hara was also found dead by suicide on November 24, 2019. Before they died, these two friends had many fond memories that they shared together. One of those memories includes taking selfies together during Sulli’s birthday like the photos below! Not only that, but they were also like siblings. The relationship that they built was very sincere and selfless. Below is a picture of them at a sleep-over party.
Sulli and Goo Hara’s Friendship Photoshoot
Goo Hara and Sulli not only spent their time together, but they also did a friendship photoshoot. Here are their photos! In the photos above, Goo Hara and Sulli wore white dresses while holding hands, and they posed with blank and innocent looks. Then, the next photo has them wearing one oversize shirt together while hugging with blank eyes. There are even photos that show them naked and hugging each other. Although these photos showed their friendship, they turned out to be controversial at the time.
Goo Hara’s Grief When Sulli Died
Sulli reportedly died because of a deep depression. During her career, Sulli often received a lot of blasphemy from netizens because of several things such as when she didn’t wear a bra, when she kissed Goo Hara, and she was even said to have a bad attitude. When Sulli died, Goo Hara was in Japan and surely was shocked and very sad about losing her best friend. On October 15, 2019, Hara made a Live on Instagram showing her deep sadness. In the video, she apologized to Sulli that she couldn’t attend the funeral because she was in Japan. You can see how devastated she was. She told people who were worried about her that she was fine even though she was not.
Goo Hara’s Promise to Sulli
When Goo Hara heard the news about Sulli’s death, she was sad and said that they were very close like siblings. Goo Hara promised Sulli that she would carry on with her life for Sulli’s sake and that she would keep trying. But, just a month later, the promise she made to Sulli couldn’t be fulfilled because she preferred to go with Sulli. Goo Hara had to break her promise because she was stricken with depression due to threats from her ex-boyfriend who wanted to spread a private video. That is the story of their friendship that is touching and sad because the two of them died in a state of depression due to the pressures of life and the blasphemy of netizens.
