Junyoung During His ZE:A Era
Junyoung was the leader of ZE:A who debuted on January 7, 2010, under Star Empire Entertainment. During his career as a member, he was a part of controversial news after making statements about his bad experience with the label. He wrote on Twitter that his CEO Shin Joo Hak had attempted suicide because of their unfair treatment. He promised to reveal one by one the unfair treatment from Shin Joo Hak on his Twitter, which is now deleted. Joon-young admitted that he was looking to overcome the situation after talking all night long with the CEO Shin Joo Hak. Later on, he posted an apology statement that caused controversy. The label also claimed that all of it was a misunderstanding even though many fans were skeptical about the reconciliation.
Junyoung Leaves Star Empire Entertainment
In September 2014, Junyoung officially left Star Empire along with ZE:A’s Taehun. The label shared the news on their ZE:A official fan cafe and encouraged fans to support all of them with their new beginnings. Moreover, ZE:A’s contract was also coming to an end. Im Siwan moved to Plum Entertainment, Park Hyung Sik moved to United Artist Agency, Kwanghee moved to Bonboo Entertainment, and Kim Dong Jun went to Gold Moon Entertainment.

After he left the label, Junyoung built his own company called EXA Entertainment. He embraces his interest in entertainment projects. Starting on October 21, 2017, he posted his own photo about him as the new CEO of EXA Entertainment on Instagram. Later on, he revealed teaser footage of Show Champion on MBC Music K-Pop Concert in Mexico. He admitted that EXA Entertainment holds this project as their first sponsorship project. After Junyoung founded his own company EXA Entertainment, he was interviewed and exposed his plans to make a ZE:A comeback under his company label.
