Yeo Jin-goo and IU’s Romantic Yet Funny Scenes In Hotel del Luna
Hotel Del Luna is a K-drama starring IU and Yeo jin-goo aired on tvN from July 13th to September 1st, 2019. This interesting drama tells about a hotel in downtown Seoul, the Myeon-dong area, where IU acted as Jang Man-wol, the CEO of Hotel del Luna. The hotel is quite distinct since the clients are all ghosts and not visible during the day. As a result of the many mistakes she had done in the past, IU’s character in Hotel Del Luna is stuck in the hotel. Her character is fickle, suspicious and greedy. Yeo Jin-Goo acted as Koo Chan-Sung who worked as the youngest assistant manager at a multinational hotel corporation and somehow started to work as a manager at Hotel del Luna. His character is sincere, a perfectionist, level-headed, but with a soft disposition underneath. The chemistry between them in this drama is playing an important role in the success of the K-drama. They have good synergy and vibe as their acting is also very intimidating. In fact, they had been working on their chemistry and its improvement even before they started filming this drama. The producer of Hotel del Luna explained, “IU and Yeo Jin Goo’s cheerful and optimistic energy makes the people around them happy as well, and we’re always filming amidst a bright atmosphere thanks to their chemistry.” IU and Yeo Jin-goo have a lot of kissing scenes in the drama, and many people thought that they fit together so well, and their interaction is so natural like a real couple’s. Kudos for them! In this scene, IU is wearing a fashionable classic black dress with gloves, pearls, and a tiara similar to the icon fashion Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast At Tiffany’s. She had dinner with Koo Chang Sung and enjoyed a beautiful evening together. IU, in the role of Jang Man Wol, wittily drops the coffee and sandwich into his hands to see the jewelry store faster. IU said, “Why is that we only have 10 fingers? Because of that, we can only wear 10 rings,” alluding to the beautiful jewels on sale. Such a funny and pleasant couple in this scene. These two artists managed to make the audience feel their genuine chemistry and laugh at the funny and cute moments they had.

Jang Man-wol makes a very sweet gesture by holding Goo Chan Sung’s cheeks with her hands. Goo Chan Sung in response does the same to her. This scene is so memorable!

IU and Yeo Jin-goo attended an off-screen event on December 15th, it was the tvN “Year-End with tvN — tvN’s Joy Festival 2019” at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Seoul. They also did a photoshoot and interview which was revealed in the August issue of Marie Claire. This beautiful couple starring in the K-drama Hotel Del Luna stated that they have shy personalities and thought it was difficult to become close. In fact, they are now able to become closer friends than they think. They said that it didn’t take a lot to build their on-screen chemistry since it was easy working with each other after becoming close friends.
